I joined the Governing team in 2010 when my son was in Foundation - I was impressed with the community atmosphere and inclusion ethos of the school  that I wanted to give something back.

Not coming from an Educational based background it was very much going back to school to learn how Governance in education worked when I was appointed!

I have held a number of roles within the Governing Body - previously overseeing School Improvement planning for ICT, Site and premises security, Management & Personnel lead and vice chair and have been the Chair of Governors since 2014.

I have a great passion for sport - I am a qualified UK Athletics coach and assist with the running and athletic clubs at the school and will often be seen putting the children through the beep test or field runs! and also coach at the local running club - Plymstock Road Runners.
