'Happy, Passionate about learning and Ambitious'
My name is Mrs Lewin and I am thrilled to be the Headteacher of such a friendly, community-focused school. Everyone who is part of the Hooe Primary Academy community strives to be the best they can be - a great ethos to have. We are happy, passionate about learning and ambitious.
I came to Hooe Primary Academy and taught my first Year 3 class in 2001. It has been a long and eventful journey and in recent years, we have welcomed the children of my previous pupils!
Throughout my time at Hooe Primary Academy, I have been fortunate to teach in every year group and held the roles of both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two leader before becoming Deputy Headteacher. I have always thoroughly enjoyed watching the progress made by the children in my class but my most rewarding role was that of SENCo - a role which I absolutely loved.
At present I am the Curriculum leader, English leader, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Designated Teacher for Looked After Children and Early Career Induction Tutor. I am also thoroughly enjoying acting SENCo responsibility at the moment.
I am mum to three wonderful boys and we enjoy spending our time reading, cycling, camping, playing tennis, walking and surfing, especially at our caravan in Cornwall.
