RED NOSE DAY

RED NOSE DAY

Friday 24th March 2017

Dear Parents / Carers,

As mentioned in a recent newsletter, the children are welcome to come into school on Friday 24th March in red mufti. On this day there will be lots of different activities for the children to take part in. There will be an extended break time in the morning which will allow the children plenty of time to take part in the different activities being run by all of the classes.

The Foundation class are running a creative competition. A red nose template has been sent out home today which the children can decorate in any way they wish. The children will need to return their designs with 10p to be entered into the competition.

Year 1 have measured their noses and added these together to make a giant red nose. The children can pay 10p to guess the length of Year 1’s nose!

Year 2 will be running a ‘guess the number of sweets’ competition. It will cost 10p to enter with the person giving the closest guess winning the jar of sweets.

Year 3 will be asking for 10p to pin a red nose onto a large face. The closest to the actual nose will be the winner.

Year 4 will be having a basketball shootout. For 10p the children will see how many baskets they can score.

Year 5 will be running a rugby drop kick challenge. For 10p the children will have two attempts at drop kicking a rugby ball at a target.

Year 6 children will be selling home-made bookmarks for 50p. In addition children can hit a red nose piñata for 10p with the chance of winning a bookmark.

All competition winners will win a small prize.

Many thanks for your support with this.
